Run Cross Country and Track

About Run Cross Country and Track
Caroline and Tony (C & T) started coaching middle distance when their son, Gus, joined Little Athletics. The group grew and it attracted young athletes far and wide. The standard varies from national level athletes to fun runners.
Apart from meeting on the track on Mondays, the group became a regular feature on the promenade of Manly on Thursdays. The focus was not just hard training, but having fun while doing it because we believe in getting everyone to develop a lifelong love of running.

Head Coach
Tony Wong
Tony has been an active club runner for over 40 years, competing in cross country, road races and track for London Heathside in the U.K. , where he won individual medals at County Level, and Sydney Striders in Australia.
He has been coaching since 2008 and is very experienced with developing individual training plans. He is a level 3 IAAF advanced middle distance running coach.

Head Coach
Caroline Yarnell
Caroline is an Athletics Australia level 3 coach specializing in middle distance athletics, road races and cross country. She has over 15 years’ experience in coaching junior athletes from novices to national level. She has lived in many countries: England, The US., Barbados and Australia, and has run with clubs and competed in races in all of them.
Here in Australia, Caroline has state and national champion age group medals, with her highest achievement being, arguably, a bronze in the 2K steeplechase in the World Championships. She has had a life-long love of running, which is something she loves to pass on to future generations. It isn’t all about competitive success, but that is also nice!
